I highly recommend Drytek for roof repairs. From start to finish, their service was professional, efficient, and reliable.
Waterproofing in Germiston for homes, complexes, factories and warehouses. Roof leak repairs, ageing flat roofs, rusted metal sheeting and damp walls.
When it matters, Drytek it.
Local coverage
Germiston mixes established residential suburbs with one of the busiest industrial belts on the East Rand — Lambton, Primrose, Sunnyridge and Elsburg alongside the factory and warehouse stock of Wadeville, Knights and Driehoek. That mix shows in the waterproofing we encounter: ageing flat roof membranes on older houses, rusted IBR and Chromadek sheeting over working premises, and leaking box gutters that can allow water into the building.
Drytek Waterproofing is based in Bedfordview, minutes from Germiston, and the area forms part of our core East Rand coverage. We schedule inspections in advance and coordinate access with the property owner or site contact. For operational factories, warehouses and shops, we can arrange inspection times around site access and trading requirements to minimise disruption. We assess the actual source of the problem before recommending the appropriate repair or waterproofing system.

Common problems
Germiston carries one of the densest concentrations of factories and warehousing on the East Rand. On those large-span metal roofs, rust creeps along sheet laps, ridge flashings and fixing points until the sheeting starts leaking over stock and machinery, long before the roof looks bad from the yard.
Internal box gutters, parapet upstands and blocked outlets are the usual failure points on Wadeville and Knights industrial buildings. Water backs up during a heavy Highveld storm and tracks inward along the wall junction rather than showing on the roof itself.
Decades-old bitumen membranes on Lambton, Primrose and Klippoortje homes are a common call-out. Bubbling, open laps and exposed underfelt mean the membrane can no longer shed water and needs to be correctly stripped or overlaid rather than patched again.
Roof junctions, flashing details, vents and other penetrations are common leak points on Germiston properties. Failed seals and deteriorated detailing allow water into the building, particularly during heavy Highveld storms. These areas need to be properly traced, repaired and resealed rather than simply patched around the visible stain.

Common questions
Yes. Drytek is based in Bedfordview, minutes from Germiston, and the area forms part of our core East Rand coverage — including Lambton, Primrose, Wadeville, Elsburg and the surrounding suburbs. We assess the actual source of the problem before recommending the appropriate repair or waterproofing system.
Regularly. Factory and warehouse roofs are a standard part of our Germiston work, including IBR and Chromadek sheeting, internal box gutters, parapet flashings and roof penetrations. Where the sheeting is still structurally sound, sealing and re-coating is usually appropriate rather than full re-sheeting.
Yes. Where site access or operational requirements make weekday work impractical, weekend waterproofing work can be arranged by agreement.
Not always. Tile roofs with isolated failure points at ridges, valleys or flashings can often be repaired in a targeted way. Older flat concrete roofs may need more extensive waterproofing where the existing membrane has perished or reached the end of its service life. The condition of the existing waterproofing, substrate and drainage determines whether a targeted repair or full re-waterproofing is appropriate.
Inspections and quotes are free. You can WhatsApp photos and rough measurements for a preliminary estimate, but the final quote is confirmed after an on-site inspection in Germiston so we can properly assess the substrate and detail conditions.
