Waterproofing in Midrand for homes, estates, complexes and commercial properties. Roof leak repairs, flat roof waterproofing, tile roof sealing and metal roof waterproofing.
Local coverage
Midrand has grown from the older Halfway House area into a broad mix of established suburbs, secure estates and newer developments - Kyalami, Carlswald, Crowthorne, Vorna Valley, Noordwyk and Waterfall among them. That mix means very different waterproofing requirements, from ageing roofs on established properties to flat roofs, balconies and exposed concrete on newer homes and complexes.
Drytek Waterproofing is based in Bedfordview and travels to Midrand as part of our city-wide coverage. We assess the actual source of the issue before recommending the appropriate repair or waterproofing system, whether it is a leaking roof, failed waterproofing, cracked concrete or water entering through a vulnerable roof detail.

Common problems
Midrand's summer storms can leave cracked or displaced tiles that don't always leak immediately. Small fractures around tiles, ridges and valleys can allow water into the roof space once the next heavy rains arrive.
Flat roofs on established Midrand properties can develop cracked membranes, open joints and failed detailing around parapets and outlets. Once the waterproofing starts to deteriorate, water can pond on the slab and find its way into the building below.
IBR and corrugated roofs on homes, outbuildings and commercial properties are vulnerable around fixing screws, sheet overlaps and exposed edges. Once protective coatings deteriorate, rust can spread and eventually create points of water entry.
Heavy summer rainfall puts pressure on roof drainage, balconies and exposed concrete areas. Blocked outlets, poor falls, cracked surfaces and failed waterproofing can allow water to collect rather than drain away properly.
